The project issued a tender notice for supervision on July 15, 2021, and construction is expected to start on July 31, 2021. The total investment of the project is RMB 4.937 billion, and the construction includes production plant, power plant, wastewater treatment station and many other facilities. After the completion of the project, it will be of great significance to promote the independence of China's high-end chip industry and drive the localization of the industrial chain, and will enhance the competitiveness of the Yangtze River Delta IC industry. China Construction and Installation has won the bid for the project's comprehensive power package, amounting to RMB 348.7 million. The second phase of the plant is mainly to prepare for Changxin's future entry into the more advanced 1y nm process node (close to the 15nm process), and plans to produce chip products below the 10G4 process technology.
