The first phase of the Tianjin Metro Line 7 project runs from the Saida 8th Branch Road Station in Xiqing District to the Xifeng Road Station in Hebei District. The main line is 26.525 kilometers long and has 21 stations, all of which are underground, including 11 transfer stations. This line is the first metro project in Tianjin to be implemented using the PPP model. As of June 2025, the first phase of the project is progressing rapidly with interior decoration and equipment installation and commissioning. The southern section is currently undergoing empty-load trial operations on the main line. Mechanical and electrical installation has been completed to 97%, interior decoration to 93%, and integrated testing and commissioning to 85%.
