Phase II Construction: In September 2018, the three parties expanded their cooperation and invested 1.5 billion yuan to build the Qingdao Aviation Technology Industry Innovation Base, including a research institute and an industrial park. The research institute will focus on building platforms such as a high-altitude test base for aircraft engines, with a construction area of approximately 59,000 square meters. It will establish multiple laboratories and R&D facilities to form an innovation cluster.

Future Plans: The project aims to establish a national-level high-altitude testing base for the “Two Engines” special project, as well as a key support platform for the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the field of energy and power. It plans to develop into an internationally leading aviation technology R&D institution, completing the research, development, and industrialization of related products.
