The project relies on Chengde's cool climate advantage and abundant renewable energy sources (e.g., wind power and photovoltaic) to create a low-energy data center with a PUE as low as below 1.18. The park adopts a modularized design, and the first phase of the project was put into operation in 2018, with a number of machine rooms already built to provide arithmetic services for customers in the Internet, finance and other industries, including Alibaba, Baidu and other enterprises. The project is supporting the construction of data center industry chain related facilities, forming an ecological model of “data center + industry incubation”, while at the same time driving the development of local employment and digital economy, which is one of the core carriers for the development of big data industry in Chengde City.
